Workshop - Heroes: Heroes in Everyday Life

Workshop on the Theme of the Hero through Storytelling, Games, and Group Creativity
What does it mean to be a Hero? What distinguishes a heroic action? Who is a Hero, and what challenges make them so?

The workshop, led by a pair of young Romani and non-Romani volunteers, focuses on the archetypal figure of the Hero, specifically the Romani Hero, using oral, written, and video storytelling techniques. Based on creative and playful dynamics, the workshop will shed light on positive figures who creatively resist the marginalization historically surrounding Romani communities, as well as immigrant and refugee communities. Among the materials used are theatrical productions by Romani artists from Italy, Spain, Ireland, Romania, and more.

The “Roma Heroes” Project is born out of European collaboration under the Erasmus+ program, involving organizations from Hungary, Romania, Spain, and Italy, working in the educational, artistic, and social fields, particularly on inclusive themes related to Romani culture and artistic production. A.P.S. Rampa Prenestina, which has long worked on inclusion and integration with the youth of the Romani Camp on Via Gordiani, offers a free workshop aimed at young people, students, and professionals in the social and educational sectors.
