Art, in all its diverse forms, serves as a powerful tool for fostering inclusivity in human relationships.
Who We Are
At Rampa Prenestina, we believe in the power of creativity to inspire and uplift. Our programmes are designed to ignite passion and cultivate talent among the youth, providing them with a platform to express themselves artistically. We strive to create an environment where every young person feels valued and empowered to contribute to their community. Through art, we aim to foster connections and promote understanding, making a lasting impact on society as a whole.
A common denominator among these organizations is the support for the inclusion and integration of Roma youth through artistic and socio-educational projects. They promote the knowledge of various forms of artistic expression (theater, music, circus, dance, visual arts, and crafts), which form the foundation of the different inclusive pedagogical methods employed by the various associations. A shared objective is to support young people in developing self-awareness and recognizing their own abilities, talents, and the potential within each of them to become active citizens capable of shaping their own future, positively impacting their community, and the society around them.
The meeting between the participating associations was made possible through the lead organization, Independent Theater Hungary, during the “Roma Heroes Festival,” which they organize annually in Budapest. The international meetings in Rome, Bucharest, and Budapest, held as part of this project, were valuable moments of learning, exchange, and dialogue among the different organizations, focusing on creativity and mutual support. These meetings now culminate in the conception of further collaborative projects on shared themes.
Our mission
The promotion of art as an educational tool to support the social inclusion of both Roma and non-Roma youth through artistic and socio-educational projects. Knowledge of art in its countless expressions serves as an incentive for young people in the development of a positive personality, guiding them towards the path of active citizenship.
Our vision
The fight against educational poverty is the primary goal of our activities in the battle against social discrimination. We offer Roma and non-Roma youth—any young people, regardless of origin or ethnicity, who are experiencing social disadvantage—the opportunity to enhance their education, guided by professional artists and artisans in a welcoming and inclusive environment. Through the knowledge and practice of artistic activities and crafts related to the world of art, we aim to provide them with potential tools for integration into the workforce.
